Hamilton's Cacti started in a backyard in Fairfield in 1979 by Kevin and April Hamilton. They were fascinated by cacti and succulents and wanted to build a cactus garden in 1974, and were told that the plants that they picked out were no good for a garden but would have to be grown under cover.
They quickly collected many 100's of specimens but found there were plants that they couldn't easily get in Australia and started growing seed of these harder to get cacti and succulents.
They soon outgrew the small backyard and decided to move onto acreage and start the business in a fulltime capacity.
Hamilton's Cacti moved to its current site in Llandilo, near Penrith, in 1993, with Kim Hamilton as the owner.
We pride ourselves in providing a diverse collection of quality cactus and succulents that are well matched with your need. Our beautiful drought tolerant plants enhance the beauty of your garden, yard and other special events.
We no longer sell wholesale to the trade, nor can we offer delivery.
Visitors to the nursery in Llandilo can walk around our outdoor and indoor plantings; although not everything that is planted is available for sale we do try our best to find the plant for you. Whilst there are many structures containing plants at the nursery not all are open to visitors, as many of them have been rented out to other collectors who don't have enough space to have their collection with them.
Online sales are available at the moment via our eBay store: hamiltons_cacti
We also sell cacti and succulents at The Cactus and Succulent Society of NSW Inc's two shows held at Hawkesbury Showground, Philip Charley Pavilion, Racecourse Rd, Clarendon.
We welcome you to come and visit our nursery to see our huge collection of plants.
